MUSEUM EXHIBITDHG Headquarters (community era) as captured 2017-09-27A preserved page, not a live site. Links work: they lead to another preserved page here, or to the same page on the Internet Archive. Styling is preserved where the original files could be saved; some images are gone for good, because the services that hosted them shut down. Forms and buttons cannot work, because the servers behind them are long gone. Spot yourself and want a page taken down? So I've just realized recently that despite talking here and sharing other real life experiences etc. That these things don't count as forum posts. That's kind of a bummer to me. Oh well... off to post another practice. At this rate I'll never get my 100 posts. LOL.
As your former gen, I would like to commend you on all of your accomplishments in DHG. When your squad merged with mine, you really shined. I am so proud of everything that you have done here and everything you still stand to achieve. Happy anniversary!
Ok... things that aren't so new is that I've been going through an extremely difficult time in my life. Been going on for some time but I hear it's unhealthy for someone to hold it in like I do. I feel I should make others aware that we come from so many different walks of life... some much better than others and some that seem like an impossible situation. However we're fortunate enough to know we have friends... family here in DHG. So being my family some of my problems would be dealt better by letting others know.
I'm NOT in an abusive relationship so please don't think it's that horrible but I am in a relationship that has not been healthy to me. I've also had numerous health issues... getting over hernia surgery was one of the hardest things and I'm still recovering. However my newest health problem can cost me my life. I found out yesterday that I am at serious risk of a heart attack. Most people think it will never happen to them but then they also think not before their 50's. Me? I'm turning 38 this year.
Running around with relationship problems and money problems and my world falling apart is something that would put me in an early grave that I don't want to happen. I can't imagine leaving my family like that or my friends. I've learned that despite my problems that DHG is one of the best things that happened to me. If I hadn't had the friends and family I've made here... I'd have no one to talk to or express myself with.
I'm really thankful for everything and while I go through this difficult time? I'm hoping that I can count on you all to keep me together so to speak. I hope that I wont lose this connection... keep me in your thoughts through this time.... Thank you!
What's new? Not much... recruiting my ass off to help others but no complaints here for that. RL sucks as per usual... though practices tend to brighten my day and some people talking to me help too. Relationships on the other hand? Yeah lets just say that I'm having the usual troubles that many find themselves in. Trust is one thing that no matter how hard a person tries... it never seems to be enough. Besides that... health is getting better I hope. So all in all? I'm doing better than average.
Being sick sucks... I know many people can relate at various times in their lives? But right now... I feel like I'm dying. Anyone got a gun I can borrow so I can make it permanent? Joking of course but... ugh. Between a hernia surgery that the doctor forgot to tell me he used tacks in me after all... and his forgetting to tell me "some time" means more like 6 months... I'm now sick which only makes my side hurt worse.
Ugh... another late night with nothing to do but go to practice... *sighs* the burdens... but lets be honest.. the only times late night practices are bad? Is when the noise gives you a headache. So good luck to those that are gaming tonight, Kitten is off to bed once again! Sweet Kitten dreams everyone!
So here I am... still as confused as ever but slightly more happy. Life is a curious thing... sometimes we just have to live with it to see where it goes!
So... I have friends with the same relationship drama and luck as I do. It's always nice to know I'm not alone with this all. Best of luck to those having issues~!
