MUSEUM EXHIBITDHG Headquarters (community era) as captured 2017-08-17A preserved page, not a live site. Links work: they lead to another preserved page here, or to the same page on the Internet Archive. Styling is preserved where the original files could be saved; some images are gone for good, because the services that hosted them shut down. I'm very glad I have taken this LOA this week, its given me time to think and is bringing me to conclusions that others may not like, nor endorse my right to say them. I am nearing my tolerance and once that is breached I feel I wont be able to do my job anymore. My tolerance is reaching its end point and my mood has continued to fall and effect those around me and I can't allow that to continue. I know there are some in my division that would be more then happy to see the back of me. And maybe its best I give them what they want. I'll wait till the end of my LOA and make my decision. If I do disappear I know Cerberus can function without me I wanted the squad to be capable of being self sufficient. Stay strong Cerberus I hope that I've taught you some things
Don't let the negativity of others affect you Illusive, I've only know you a short period of time, however I believe you to be a good person, and would hate to see the back of you because of the negativity of others. Stay strong and keep your head high. Hit me up whenever you feel the need to vent.
Hear the sound of a machinegun
Hear it echo in the night
Mortars firing rains the scene
Scars the fields
that once were green
It's a stalemate at the frontline
where the soldiers rest in mud
roads and houses
all is gone
there's no glory to be won
know that many men will suffer
know that many men will die
half a million lives at stake
Ask the fields of Passchendaele
And as the night falls the general calls
and the battle carries on and on
What is the purpose of it all
What's the price of a mile?
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army on the march
Long way from home
Paying the price in young men's lives
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army in despair
Knee-deep in mud
Stuck in the trench with no way out
Thousands of machineguns
Kept on firing through the night
Mortars blazed and wrecked the scene
Guns in the fields that once were green
Still a deadlock at the frontline
Where the soldiers die in mud
roads and houses since long gone
still no glory has been won
know that many men has suffered
know that many men has died
Six miles of ground has been won
Half a million men are gone
And as the men crawled the general called
And the killing carried on and on
How long?
What's the purpose of it all?
What's the price of a mile?
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army on the march
Long way from home
Paying the price in young men's lives
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army in despair
Knee-deep in mud
Stuck in the trench with no way out
Young men are dying
They pay the price
Oh how they suffer
So tell me what's the price of a mile
That's the price of a mile.
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army on the march
Long way from home
Paying the price in young men's lives
Thousands of feet march to the beat
It's an army in despair
Knee-deep in mud
Stuck in the trench with no way out
Fast as the wind, the invasion has begun
Shaking the ground with the force of thousand guns
First in the line of fire, first into hostile land
Tanks leading the way, leading the way
Charging the lines with the force of a furious storm
Fast as the lighting phantoms swarm
200 miles at nightfall, taken within a day
Thus earning their name, earning the fame
[Chorus:]
They are the panzer elite, born to compete, never retreat (ghost division)
Leaving our dead, always ahead, fed by your dread
Always ahead, as the blitzkrieg rages on
Breaking morale the with the sound of blazing guns
First in the line of fire, first into hostile land
Tanks leading the way, leading the way
Leaving a trail of destruction to a foreign land
(Waging war with conviction)
Massive assault made to serve the Nazi plan
(Wehrmacht's pride, ghost division)
Communication's broken, phantoms are far away
Thus earning their name, earning the fame
[Chorus]
Pushing the frontline forth with a tremendous force
(Far ahead, breaks resistance)
Making the way for panzer corps
(Shows no fear, self-subsistent)
First in the line of fire, first into hostile land
Tanks leading the way, claiming the fame
[Chorus]
Panzer elite, born to compete, never retreat (ghost division)
Leaving our dead, always ahead, fed by your dread
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.” - C.S. Lewis
To all those that care, and to those that perhaps do not, an old Ex-DHG Friend of mine and an ex-LT I played in HI with and grew a good friendship alongside has passed away, while the circumstances of her passing have not become clear to me, I still feel like a good portion of what kept pushing me throughout my time in DHG, my friends has just been yanked away.
DHG has always for me been a place to allow us to meet new friends and to make great friendships, today for me one of those has ended far too abruptly for my liking. DHG SheDevil as she was known may have made mistakes, but she still deserved to live just as much as anyone else, and I hope that whatever deity may preside over our current state looks after you, or that you at least find peace.
See you in the great Team Slayer arena in the sky, I'll fire a few BR shots for you and slot some Covie's.
The uniforms of the Imperial Guard are camouflaged in order to protect their wearers by hiding them from sight.
The principle is that what the enemy cannot see he cannot kill. This is not the way of the Adeptus Astartes. A Space Marine’s armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his Chapter and the beloved Emperor of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear…
Victory often rests on the correct weaponry being in the right place and at the right time. Even the most destructive weapons of war are worthless if absent from the battle.
Where there is uncertainty, I shall bring light
Where there is doubt, I shall sow faith
Where there is shame, I shall point atonement
Where there is rage, I shall show its course
My word in the soul shall be as my bolter in the field.
Thank you Christopher Dale for nominating me for the Ice Bucket Challenge! Here is my submission into the madness, I personally nominate, Heather Smith...
